The Coalville Stampede is built on generations of western tradition, community pride, and a deep respect for the American West. Set against the scenic backdrop of northern Utah, Coalville has long been a gathering place for ranchers, rodeo athletes, and families who value hard work and heritage.
As a sanctioned member of the Rocky Mountain Professional Rodeo Association (RMPRA), the Coalville Patriot Days Stampede brings high-caliber rodeo competition to our hometown while staying true to our roots.

Our mission is to bring residents and visitors together through a high-quality rodeo and community event that honors the traditions of the American West, supports local businesses, and creates lasting memories for families.
We are committed to providing a safe, family-friendly event that showcases the values of hard work, service, and pride in our country, while strengthening community connections and supporting the future of local events in Coalville.
Through strong partnerships, dedicated volunteers, and community support, the Coalville Stampede strives to become a premier annual celebration that reflects the pride, resilience, and patriotism of our community.
Bio
Tyler Rowser, founder of the Coalville Stampede, was raised on his family’s small cattle ranch in Henefer, Utah. Growing up in a rural ranching community, he learned early the value of hard work, responsibility, and a deep respect for animals and the land. Life on the ranch shaped who he is today and instilled a lasting appreciation for agriculture, rodeo culture, and small-town traditions.
Some of Tyler’s fondest memories come from long summer days spent riding horseback across the countryside on an old paint horse - experiences that built a lifelong connection to the western way of life. As a child, he was actively involved in local traditions such as the Summit County Fair Little Buckaroo Rodeo, 4-H, parades, and community events that brought families together year after year.
Those early experiences sparked a deep love for community that continues to guide Tyler today. He believes strongly in preserving rural traditions while creating opportunities for others to experience and appreciate the place he calls home. That passion ultimately led him to establish the Coalville Stampede—an event designed to celebrate western heritage, support the local community, and bring people together.
Tyler is also a devoted father of two, raising his children with the same values he learned growing up: hard work, respect for animals, and an appreciation for the outdoors and rural life.
In addition to his role as founder, Tyler has dedicated much of his life to public service. He has served with the North Summit Fire District since 2001, beginning as a volunteer firefighter and working his way up through the ranks. Today, he serves as a Battalion Chief, helping lead emergency response and protect the communities of North Summit.
Tyler also served eight years on the Coalville City Council, where he worked to strengthen the community and help build a better future for the next generation. Through his leadership, service, and the creation of the Coalville Stampede, Tyler continues to share his love for Coalville and the surrounding area with all who attend.
The Stampede isn't just an event - it's a way to bring people together and keep our western traditions alive!
